My name is Alan Parker…I am a retired Police Officer.  My family is a biracial family, and dad was a cop who patrolled where we lived, and mom was a nurse at one of the top hospitals in the city. This combination gave me a unique perspective that over time molded my ambition and passion for family, the law and the City. In retirement I was introduced to Michael Connelly by my brother. It took some convincing on his part ….cops are naturally skeptic of things ….THANK GOD I gave it a chance !!! From the first book and on I have been drawn in! The authenticity, character development, and engaging plot are all based in reality, and because of this I got pulled in. It's a legit way for civilians to get a ring side seat to such a misunderstood life. The podcast that my brother asked me to be a part of is an exciting way to analyze, debate and have constructive dialogue about my passion.
